Chompix® is a novel, compact, automatic and portable device having the size of a big dustbin. The design is based on 3 years of product & market research with inputs from cafes like Coffee Day, Starbucks, Barista and several others. It has been designed to address the plastic recycling problem. This device can be used at restaurants, railway stations and other public places where a lot of plastic is consumed daily. This invention is aligned to several of the United Nations SDGs. 

Neeraj Nagaraj is a high schooler at Indus International School, Bangalore. Having grown up in 100 acres of lush, man-made forest at Jiddu Krishnamurti’s The Valley School at Bangalore, he has spent time with land care and planting of trees. This has led him to create a device that can assist in the plastic accumulation problem- Chompix® working along with Project Starfish an MIT startup exchange organization since March 2020.
